ya'll go to these or plan on going to one? my small town has reunion weekend on the same weekend every year. I have never been. this is is one of those milestone years for our class and yet I don't feel the need to go. I'm in touch and hang with a couple of people from high school, but for the most part I don't see the point in going and talking and playing nice with people I haven't cared to see is a long time.

My class thinks that they're f'ing special. I missed my 10 year because they wanted to do something wonderful. Each person had to pay $150 to go. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to pay $300 to go see a bunch of people where I don't a **** about 99% of them.

I went to a forcibly integrated high school in Baton Rouge. I lived 25 miles from my school and I endured a 75 minute bus ride, each way everyday. That means that nearly all of the people I went to school with lived 3 or more zip codes away from me. The only friends that I had (and the only friends that they had) were the ones who rode my bus. So excuse me for not giving a flying flip about people at my high school. For 90% of them, I had never seen them before, and I'll never see them again.

they get better the older you get. One thing I wished they would do is create a list of where everyone lives and what they do and pass it out to everyone so you don't have to answer that question 53 times during the night but otherwise they are pretty fun. Need to have lots of booze though.

Someone said it earlier, the older you get, the more important it becomes to you.

I think part of this is because you get old enough to recognize your own mortality, and know that you do not have that many chances left to reconnect with your past, in whatever form that takes.

At my age, each reunion comes with the news that a few more of your classmates have taken the old dirt nap, and the sure and certain knowledge that your turn is coming soon.

It's not about who you did or did not like, it's not about trying to impress someone with how good you are doing (well maybe a little), it is about trying to reconnect with just a little tiny part of your youth.

At least thats my story, and I'm stickin to it.

I can't believe how many people hold grudges from high school. Let it go already. I have had a good time at every reunion I have attended. There are a few who try to impress everyone, but I just assume they are overcompensating.

I just hate seeing people you haven't seen in a long time. Asking questions that you know you don't care to hear the answer to....It's nice to see people, but I hate the awkward "Well I have nothing else to talk about" crap, then having to say bye because you know you have nothing else to talk about but then you still see them all night.

It's only been six years since I graduated, just basing this off of weddings, family reunions, and funerals. Kinda the same thing....

Missed my 10 year because we had just had a baby and I live 11 hours from where I grew up. My 20 year is coming up in a couple of years. I'll probably go check it out. Honestly, it's not that I don't like the people that I grew up with, it's that I don't care as much as them about all of it, so I don't like the way they make a huge deal about it. It would be more fun for me to go sit around a keg telling stories, but most of them will want to hug and kiss and talk about how much they miss everyone.

My wife's reunion was awesome. She met up with other chicks she was a cheerleader with and most were still smoking hot and single. It was in Padadena, we got a hotel room and I got to know some of her pals.
