Can anyone tell me what year the Sooners started putting 'SOONERS' on their jerseys.

I have a wrestling magazing (1982) showing Steve Williams on the cover and he has his OU jersery draped around his chest.

He gave me that jersey and now I have to sell them both...I guess on ebay, put I can't remember what year was the last year with just the players number on the front.

Thanks in advance & BOOMER SOONER!!!

I think 1980. That is for football, though. I misunderstood, sorry. I will try to find that info.

1980 and it was in road games only. Home games we wore OKLAHOMA

Wasn't it the opposite in the 90s, with home being "SOONERS" and away being "OKLAHOMA"?

Jerald Moore was one of my favorites... one of the only guys I remember from that era. It's crazy to see the WRs with their hands on the ground!

When I was in 5th grade, I had a Jerald Moore jersey. Dude was awesome. And when I played football at Davis, I watched old film from when James Allen was at Wynnewood in HS....a man among boys. Demond Parker is still my favorite from that era, though.
