I know a lot of people that don't eat them because they are supposed to be made with every part of the chicken.

Last time I saw someone eat a 20 piece mcnuggest, it involved a fat kid who accidentally gutted his Skoal.

So the McNugget is now equal to a cigarette:

The problem is evidently grave enough to warrant adding a toxic chemical to the food: According to the Handbook of Food Additives, dimethylpolysiloxene is a suspected carcinogen and an established mutagen, tumorigen, and reproductive effector; it's also flammable.

The best part for me is this....

According to A Consumer's Dictionary of Food Additives, TBHQ is a form of butane (i.e. lighter fluid) the FDA allows processors to use sparingly in our food: It can comprise no more than 0.02 percent of the oil in a nugget. Which is probably just as well, considering that ingesting a single gram of TBHQ can cause "nausea, vomiting, ringing in the ears, delirium, a sense of suffocation, and collapse." Ingesting five grams of TBHQ can kill."

I have seen the specialist in the back of the McDs who sprays the 0.02. I'm sure he's a Chemist.....He handles the 2nd window when it get busy....lol

I tried an order of McNuggets once about 10 years ago to see what the fuss was about.

Not interested in trying more.

Now, the Big Mac and Angus, that's another deal altogether.

They are better than they were 10 years ago. But there is only one nugget that is worthy...Chick-fil-a. Its actual chicken breast meat.

Quiznos has a $5.50 meal deal. You get a Torpedo sammie and a Caesar Salad. Throw a few of the free banana peppers and red wine vinegar for the sammie. You can get an extra little Caesar dressing for the salad and there is a small flat bread in the salad. I've quit eating so much and sometimes I get by with the sammie and later have the salad as a snack and then just eat a light dinner. If you have a banana a cup of coffee or two in the morning with a Quaker Breakfast bar.....you can really get under the 2000 calories a day. You can mix it up with a 1/2 turkey Sammie with the crust cut off and an apple with yogurt or a spoon of peanut butter and a banana if you didn't eat one at Breakfast. You just need to stay away from Pop and anything with High Frustose Corn Syrup and watch how much bread you eat at dinner. Panera makes a all veggie sammie that it you cut the crust off you can lower the calories a bit. It's pretty good IMO.

Mediterranean Veggie
Zesty Peppadew™ piquant peppers, feta cheese, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cilantro Jalapeņo hummus on our Tomato Basil bread.

This might not seem very good but it will surprise you.

Arby's Fresh market Sammies. Buy one....eat half and split the other one with someone else in the office. Add an apple or an orange.

Bottom line....lower the amounts of bread. Buy better bread when you do. Focus on Meat, Veggies and Fruit and a little yogurt.

Go to a garage sale or go buy a Magic Bullet that you can make small fresh portions of your own fresh salsa from these fruit stands or the grocery store if you can. Yoplait has these frozen packages of Smoothie mixes that can be quickly made with 1/2 cup of skim milk and you can add in the bananas that might be past eating perfectly ripe to add potassium and vitamins.

I also recommend a good multi-vitamin especially if you are going to try 1600 calories.

We use Juice Plus Vitamins.

Also Weight Watchers has a good program for Guys and the points program is a good way to help you keep going if you feel it's to difficult on your own....

NO FRENCH FRIES ! ! !

Avoid Starchy Foods.

If you want some Fries go to the frozen food section of your gorcer and buy these McCain or Oreida Frozen Sweet Potato Fries. Put them on a cookie sheet and season them with Chili powder, Cumin, Slat and pepper and bake at 30-40 minutes in your oven.

They are pretty good and not as bad for you as regular fries. We'll cook a few burgers and add these fries. The kids love them and We have gotten so used to them that we hardly order fries when we eat out.

I have gotten into just buying stuff to make awesome sandwiches myself. We usually have honey wheat bread or something. I do roast beef, horseradish, spicy mustard, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Good stuff. I love kettle cooked jalepeno chips to go with, but i've kicked that. Trying to slim down.

Shaved peppered turkey breast, Nature's Own 100% whole grain bread, and French's Yellow Mustard. Claussen pickle spear on the side, and a banana or apple for "dessert". That's my lunch about 5 days per week.

Substitute the French's for Heinz Mustard and the turkey for pastrami and you would have a fine lunch for any occasion. Might consider rye bread also. Pastrami just clicks better with rye.

My problem with making lunches at home is that 99% of the stuff I would want to eat would be soggy by the time I get to it. And I hate putting stuff in the company fridges because people eat it. :(

My grandparents used to get huge bags of raw, frozen mcnuggets from the factory in Arkansas (they had a friend who was a manager there). Mcnuggets are awesome when you can cook 'em crunchy.
