What should I do tonight? Momma took off to Iowa, I picked up my final paycheck from work, I took a shower and shaved, and this is the first day in the last 10 I haven't either sat in a tractor or thrown square bales all day. I actually feel like I'm getting a day off. Party time?

Do you like margaritas?

Treat yourself to some decent plata tequila and mix you up a big ol' margarita. Like one that you look at and go: ****, man, that's a lot.

Imbibe.

You know I'm not gay.

But if you're buying, I'll gay it all the hell up.

I like mixing and trying lots of different types of drinks. I once ordered a manhattan at a restaurant and they didn't ask if I wanted it up or on the rocks. It came up, and someone at the table poked fun, saying what a bitch I looked like sipping out of a martini glass. I offered him a sip with a smile, he declined meekly after asking what was actually in it, and that was that.

Moral of the story: you get some nice tequila, and you make that MFer so strong it'll singe your nostrils. Nothing a damned girly thing about that at all.

Hopefully at home from the liquor store, making myself a manhattan and my girl a martini. :)

She's a little better looking than you, but not as good for conversation. Raincheck.

Do you put bitters in your manhattans? Vermouth in your martinis?

If you don't have a readily available source of child labor, some sort of accumulator is the only way to mess with small squares.

If you don't have a cellar you may want to start digging a hole.

Oh I've got a source of child labor, only problem is they want .25 cents per bale. Each. **** that noise. I'd rather work like a field hand myself than pay that highway robbery. Besides, them little ****ers can't stack a trailer without direction, so I end up handling most of the bales myself. Momma drove and I loaded almost 300 bale yesterday, then we both unloaded it in the barn. It's effing hot man, but it does an old man good.

So with the accumulator, are you getting the hay hook/grabber with it?

C&CDean
6/10/2011, 07:15 PM
A pop-up loader? Them things suck - unless you're about 17 and nimble as hell. I've owned a couple, and they work you to death.

Yes, an accumulator without a grabber doesn't make a lot of sense. Both for about $13K.

1 round bale ~$40. The same amount of hay in squares? ~$115. If you can keep your labor prices down, there's a ton more money in squares.
