Finnegan's Wake.

I prefer Ulysses.

Or if you're feeling American, go with The Sound and the Fury.

Keep em coming. I'm wanting the ones that you guys could listen to over and over again, and that my wife will be saying, "Wow! THis is a great story!" to as we drive across the Kansas Prairie.

Give me Top Tens, if possible.

Thanks again!

Huckleberry Finn- written by arguably the best American storyteller

A Painted House by John Grisham- really good..... We were coming back from a trip to Texas listening to this one (not the typical Grisham legal thriller, but a tale of a young boy growing up in post-war Arkansas) ... anyhow, I could tell we'd get home before the book was done. So I skipped ahead to the end. And when we got home I went to the library and checked A Painted House out. It is that good.

Like psychotically searching for gifs to post on a stupid message board? Meh.

I second the HP books.

Seriously, Jim Dale is a great narrator, and he does a fine job with all the HP books. Start with Sorcerer's Stone, and you and momma will be enthralled for many, many hours/days.

I enjoyed Flight of Eagles by Jack Higgins quite a bit. It is a very suspenseful WWII story. There are many twists and turns and the audio book was very well done as I recall. I listened to it while rolling across Kansas among other places and it was really good.
