Amazing game. I had noted earlier in the game that we were setting up a play by throwing to the flats so much. PERFECT call after the fake punt.

Okay, here's a thought, and I don't mean to threadjack, but...

Would Landry have thrown that TD into almost triple coverage, or would he have checked down to JD for a 20+ yard gain?

Neither. He would have thrown it out of bounds... :D

I was there!!!

Me too. Except, I got my tickets from a Bama booster, so I was sitting in a sea of houndstooth hats. They were all friendly as could be before the game, but seething mad by the time of the fake punt. Still, after the game ended, most were telling me that they hoped we would go ahead and win out.

Man, we stuck a dagger in Alabama's heart with that fake punt. That's how we scored on the play directly after it..talk about demoralizing. But that's the EXACT same fake we ran this season. I forget which game, but the ball went right thru IForgetWhichButterFingerPlayer's hands.

Check down, I would hope.....unless he miraculously made that pass.

we ran a fake FG against TAMU. I was sitting right in front of the goal line and watched Hanna drop it.

We win if he catches it, no questions asked

but we still end up playing in the Taco chips bowl

Why can't we learn to run the LSU fake fg?? Seems to work pretty well.

Didn't work too well for Nebraska last year... Resulted in a Pick 6 against Colorado IIRC.

He needs some motivation to run in practice. Apparently he isn't forced to like all the other players.

I guess I forgot about Les Miles's deal with the devil.

Me and Boones were there. My wife begged me to move to Phoenix from Shawnee...I told her I would if I could go to this game. I don't regret either decision. Nothing like being in a visiting stadium when the number one team in the country comes out...and it ain't there guys!

Man, watching that fake punt and TD on back to back plays...Stoops would have OWNED Vegas back then...not that he is a slouch now, but he dialed up all the big one's then.

Alabama is second only to ND in the friendliness of their fans. And it's a really close second too. I would love to go back to both places it was that enjoyable.

i had plans to go to that game, but they kinda fell apart. otherwise, the streak would be about 10 games longer...

DiCarlo was money all through the 2003 regular season, then just kinda fell apart :(

I was there as well. Probably the best time I have ever had. Me and 5 buddies rented a 30 ft RV and took a road trip. GREAT TIME! The Bama peopla were amazing!
