Okay, I read the article, Bell actually admits that he hasn't even seen a draft of the treaty, but then includes terms which "almost certainly" are in it. In other words, this article is basically a straw man. Why doesn't it also require the execution of every man under 5'5," because the UN thinks short people are creepy?
At any rate, 2nd Amendment advocates should say to this: "Bring it on." We have a very pro-2nd Amendment Supreme Court, and should the sorts of provisions Bell is making up here be signed into law, we could all benefit from having some pretty pro-2nd Amendment case law created as a countermeasure.

Ohh, I don't have critical thinking skills.
I know what Obummer is trying to do, he can't do it out right, so he is sneaking behind the scenes. Senate passes a treaty, it is enforceable. Supreme Court can change and uphold the treaty. Not far off.

I saw yesterday where people on the Terrorist Watch List can't fly on an Airplane but a Bill to keep them from buying guns in America was voted down by Republicans.
I'm all for the 2nd Amendment except for known terrorists and known felons. Some crazy people probably shouldn't be owning guns as well.

Seriously, THA, you can't possibly believe that a foreign treaty would take legal precedence over the Bill of Rights in the US Constitution. Besides, all foreign treaties have to be ratified by Congress.

As the statists head us towards One-World Government, this is simply not what they want to happen. We see it already with Global Warming and carbon emission initiatives.
We see it as liberal activist judges apply international law in deciding cases in the U.S. justice system!

A month or two after Obama was elected a saw a friend of mine who owns a sporting goods store in McAllister. He said they couldn't keep ammunition in stock because people were so worried about their guns being taken away that they were hoarding it. He was soooo mad at Obama for doing this. I asked him why he was upset that his business had doubled or tripled.
Fast forward a few years and everybody still has their guns.
Lesson: Paranoia is good for the economy.

I think about 20%.
Whatever the number is, the market will make up the difference...nobody determines the value of their labor by gross compensation.
If it still keeps people happy with their net income as compensation, why should the tax number matter?
(Why shouldn't we be happy in the most prosperous civilization in the history of the world...why are people bitching about not being able to afford a 2nd or 3rd car fer chrissakes...we have a/c, indoor plumbing, modern medicine...when is enough enough)
