i dont "love" her -but i dont hate her either

she is what she is - i dont make her out to be some superhero in waiting

she's a mom that got involved in politics - she could be your next door neighbor - she's not perfect, nor claims to be

she should have never taken the VP nomination from McCain - because it thrust her into a spotlight she clearly wasnt ready for - but she's capitalizing on it just like any other American would do....and yet, some of the things people say about her.....baffling really

i think its easier to criticize her than to address the real problems we're facing

In some ways this is true. Matt Damon said he was pretty frightened by the idea that we could have a 70 something year old President in McCain and have a person who belives the world is 6,000 years old a heartbeat from leading the free world.

What is said about her family? Is it that her husband belonged to a group that wanted to secede from the union. Is it about her daughter that got knocked up and then sought ways to profit from it?

I really believe that family members of politicians should be left alone, unless they place themselves in front of the public as individuals (e.g. Bristol Palin's paid speaking engagements, Dancing with the Stars, etc.).

As the father of 4 adult kids I'd be interested in hearing about how you did such a perfect job raising your kids that you feel you can critize her and her husband. Looks to me like they have done fairly well so far. None of my kids are quite perfect either.

Go watch any rerun of Saturday Night Live for the last 30 years and pay attention to when they have someone be the President of the United States. They usually come off looking pretty lame and you know what? It is satire, yes, but it all came from things all of those Presidents really said/did. The Reagan actor was dead on and it made you realize much later that he was already displaying symptoms of Alzheimers in the 80's. As for the Bush impersonations, let's see, dumb and dumber but wasn't Desert Storm 1 a hoot? Clinton was easy to do since it was all about the sex. So yeah, it is easy to make fun of Sarah Palin but at least she represents something other than the run-of-the-mill lawyers-turned-politicians-for-life that are sucking at the publically funded government tit, who are fond of hearing themselves tell the rest of us how great it is to pay higher taxes.

Run, Sarah, run!

I am not a "Palinlover" so to speak. I really appreciate that she saw things wrong in her kids schools and got involved and got them fixed. I admire that she tool that up a level and eventually worked her way to Governor. She went after both republican and democratic OLD guard. She has been married and raised a family. Anyone who wants to criticize what has occurred with her daughter should be ashamed. no one is perfect including YOUR kids or mine. She was presented with a very difficult decision with her last child and she followed her beliefs. She speaks her mind and stands behind what she says. She does not embarrass this country like apologizing for our actions or sending internet pictures or getting BJ's in her office.

She is human, makes mistakes and pretty much has her act together. THIS in the face of the ******* liberal media, democrats who would support Jesse Jame for Mayor after seeing him with the smoking gun in his hand and is not POWER hungry. She , as governor was smart enough to see what the Soros **********s were going to do to her litigiously while she was governor so she abdicated to a fellow republican and moved on. Name one democrat who could even wash her jock strap. Still I think she is better as a kingmaker than as a queen.

Well let's see, there's this post that was pulled from Wonkette because the writer viciously attacked (http://www.mediaite.com/online/wonkette-editor-comments-on-reprehensible-birthday-greeting-to-trig-palin/) Trig Palin.

And just today, actor Christopher Titus revealed his fantasy about taking out (http://dailycaller.com/2011/06/07/comic-chris-titus-hints-at-assassinating-palin-if-she-gets-elected-president/) Sarah should she ever become President, on the Adam Carolla Show.

Now as for the other stuff you mentioned, no, I don't have a problem with a healthy, honest debate about those issues you brought. Just as long as you're defending a principle and you're either not a blind Palin homer or Palin hater that's looking for an opportunity to just put a stick in her eye.

Just like the dopes after the Giffords shooting that decried the so-called violent imagery in the cross hairs map on Palin's PAC website that are strangely silent over the Titus Palin death fantasy.

I do envy her lifestyle in Alaska. My one big regret in life is not moving to Juno. To be able to hunt, fish and hike every day in Alaska would be heaven. Her show Sarah Palin's Alaska was pretty decent.

My wife and I took care of her Uncle who had Downs Syndrome. I was happy to see how loving the Palins were to their son who has Downs Syndrome.

Yeah, that is no longer a honey pot, but more like a vinegar tub. I have banged better looking babes than this heifer, and didn't have to listen to their utterances and screams in a frigging Fargo dialect.

Someone else mentioned that she was the mayor of a major city. Wrong. She was the mayor of a town the size of Newcastle, Sulphur or Duncan. Those are hardly major cities. She got elected because of the support of her bible banging wacko church. Other bible banging wacko churches helped her get elected to the governorship, which she quit after two miserable years of service.

i've not observed much in the way of psychopathic obsession or outrage. she's just a very easy target for mockery and ridicule. like most right wingers in the spotlight. full of sh*t and shameless hypocrisy. i would equate the obsession to watching a a train wreck coming from miles away.

It amuses me the time, effort, money and energy the left has devoted to destroying her, someone that they claim is stupid and clueless in all matters.

Makes one wonder how much time and trouble they will devote to someone they consider intelligent.

I'm quite sure that if she was ever elected President, she wouldn't vilify the wealthy (job creators) about how they should pay more taxes, call out for more regulations, and then inact Obamacare.....only to wonder why the businesses in this country are not hiring more people. This is all too predictable for a guy that has not spent two minutes in the Private Sector.

Does anyone really think that joblessness rate will go down while he is in office?

Every time she opens her mouth, she is actively demonstrating the inadequacies of the American education system. Yeah, she's an idiot, but she's also incurious. She has no desire to learn anything new. Judging by her speaking style, she stopped learning sometime around she was 16 years old (and we all know how smart teenagers are). Sure. Obama's policies have created a great deal of uncertainty and to some degree fear in our economy. Low taxes? Corporate taxes in this country are some of the highest in the world. Businesses will "hunker down" in a climate of uncertainity. Why is that hard for you to understand?

Obamacare with it's 2,000 + pages that no Congressman bothered to read before it was passed, is a concern for businesses large and small as what exactly it's ramifications and impact will be will be on them. More uncertainty.

When she can't even get the ride of Paul Revere right, I'd call that a lack of intelligence.

She can't even admit that she got her facts wrong. Instead of saying, oops, my bad, she blames the questioner for asking a "gotcha" question ("what have you done so far on your trip"), on par with Katie Couric's "What do you read". I'd call that prima facie evidence that she can't even accept that her facts are wrong. And then Wikipedia has to go shut down the Paul Revere's Ride page because the Palinbots are trying to change it to conform with Sarah's View of History (TM). I'd take the scholarly writings of an American Historian who has read the oral histories of the participants over an incurious half term governor.

And her speaking style makes her sound like an idiot. Her thoughts are incoherent. Tim Pawlenty isn't incoherent. Mitt Romney isn't incoherent (just awfully flexible about abortion and gay rights). Even Newt's grand pronouncements are coherent. All these candidates speak in complete sentences that don't ramble all over the place and make no sense. She's an embarrassment. The sooner the Republicans wake up to that fact the better. But on the other hand, keep sucking up all the oxygen Sarah! That way the Republicans will be lucky to win 100 electoral votes!

What's the difference between Sarah Palin's mouth and vagina? Her vagina only spit out one thing retarded.

Anyway, it's threads like these that make me smile because it goes to show me what I already knew, I'm vastly superior to all progressives.

On the front page of the South Oval I counted three Sarah Palin threads. There have been many more, multi-page, threads about her, her family, and what she does.

Has there ever been that many threads on Rachel Maddow, Chris Mathews, Keith Olberman, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell? No.

As I've stated, it's either a fearful obsession or some sort of warped penis envy I've never seen.

Of course these are progressives we're talking about. These are the same people who threw Cindy Sheehan under the bus, along with the anti-war movement, once W was out of office. We're talking of people who protested with signs of Bush as Hitler and even openly talked about assassinating him yet a sign of Obama as Hitler makes them furious. Lets ignore the fact Obama's first book was written by a known Marxist terrorist and his political career started there. We're talking about people who talked about "big oil and the executive office" in '08 with gas prices but this go around they're quiet and it's "other factors" that "the executive office has no control over." These are people that jump up and down about Fox's media bias yet they ignore things like the Killian documents. It's also strange they complain about talk radio and these news stations yet changing the channel is beyond their mental capabilities.

I will give progressives this, I didn't know until this thread that being on the news, writing books, and giving speeches is more powerful than being the Commander and Chief of the United States of America and requires much more scrutiny and criticism. Who knew?

I think there is a reason corporations are keeping huge stores of cash and it has absolutely nothing to do with Obamacare or taxes or employment. They are very concerned about another frozen credit market where there is no money to run day to day operations. The freeze on credit damn near destroyed GE and almost brought down the rest of our economy. Right now the banks are under capitalized and the corporations know it.

Obviously someone that did not watch any of the debates 3 years ago.

Everyone is going to stumble....very few are going to be unable to name any book or magazine they have EVER read.

I agree with the second part.

To the first point, he looked ok in that debate until you realized that he was wrong or flat out lying on the majority of his points. Every time he strays off script, he gets in trouble. Mostly because very few Americans have anything in common with either Rev Jackson or Mussolini, whichever he is channeling on any given day. Saying what he feels ALWAYS blows up in his face.

Not that it's much of an accomplishment, but Palin made Dopey Joe look like a fool in their debate.

Which debate did you watch? Joe made her look like the idiot she was. All she did was parrot whatever line she was fed, and Joe actually did some thinking. And Joe is certifiable.

This post is proof that opinions are like as*holes.

Next time you watch a debate, visit a few sights like this...http://factcheck.org/ and compare. It's hard to do all the time, unless you work in IT.

Just fact checking BHO is a full time job.
