Did the little gnome mention that DGB attended one day of a sanctioned football camp like a lot of elite recruits do as seniors to be? I doubt it. What did the King call guys like this? "Fiction writers"

If you missed this past week's episode of Friday Night Lights, it's definitely worth pulling up and watching online. Writers for the show seem to really be playing up the Cecil Newton story line w/ the father of a star prospect cutting deals with the major programs.

The star QB of the show makes an "unofficial" visit to Oklahoma Tech, which is really the show's way of saying OSU, I believe. The funny thing though is since the show shoots in Austin, it is actually Darrell K Royal stadium they show, but with the endzone painted with the words Oklahoma Tech in the endzone. Had to be the first time ever that the word Oklahoma was written on their field.

Guess I'd feel pretty violated if our beloved Memorial Stadium endzones were painted *urp* burnt orange. Still, did a Google, found these, LMAO.

Not likely Newton is the inspiration. I watched this season months ago on DirectTV, so who knows how long ago it filmed/was written.

Anyway dads screwing with the recruiting process is nothing new.

Reminds me of an episode of X-Files where they had a scene that was supposed to be set in the hospital in Tishomingo, OK. Thing was, this hospital was a ten or twelve story tower. I laughed.
