to landscape the house with.
And Dean don't say use the ones on my wife's chest.

What's the best place around town to get a couple of big rocks or boulders for the front yard?

There's a place a mile or two west of downtown that I have bought rocks from. There are also a couple places on the east side of I-35 south of Frontier City that I've been to. I didn't buy anything large but I'm sure they would have something like what you need or at least know where to get it.

There's a big one in front of Crest Foods on 15th and Santa Fe.

Construction sites. Talk to the jobsite Supt. in the trailer when the dirtwork is being done. He'll likely let you come in and take a few, if you have the capability to remove them. Smaller ones, no prob.

Um... the woods? I dunno. You have to pay for boulders? Aren't they just lying around all over the place?

Are you sure you need a boulder?

Or would a large rock be sufficient?

Where is the dividing line between large rock and boulder? Does cragginess factor into this determination?

Crest paid $16k for that boulder in front of the Edmond store.

Crest paid $16k for that boulder in front of the Edmond store.

That's because it was a mole removed from Abe Lincoln at Mount Rushmore

You mean that poor immigrant working only get $9 for all his work for one year is worth about the same as boulder?

Well, they paid $16k in 1997 when the store opened, it's probably worth more now. A lot of the cost was transporting a 12,000 lb rock from Ada to Edmond. I imagine gas is a tad more now than it was in '97.

Boulders appreciate? Can I invest in boulders? If I don't have the cash up front, is there a good market in large rocks?

Boulders appreciate?

I imagine so, do you think that thing would have cost $16k back in 1902?

Not every Truck out there can move the kind of weight you are talking about either. If you want to ruin a nice $40,000 truck because you saw how tough it was on TV....I'd make damn sure you know how much weight the trailer and the rock is before you go checking how much the vehicle you are hitching up to is capable of pulling.
