He lost A LOT of weight. Last I heard he was doing a little better. Still not in great shape though.

I'm doing a little better, but I've been pretty sick for awhile. It started with the diabetes, and then a dozen or so other things popped up.
I got to the point that I just could not get myself to eat. I dropped down to 78 lbs. My energy level was so bad that I barely had the strength to get dressed every day. I went through several doctors and dozens of lab tests but they couldnt come up with anything. I finally found a doctor who had a plan, and she put me on this stuff that is basically THC in pill form to increase my apetite.
I'm up to 84lbs now and feeling better. My weight gain is going slowly but its progress.
Although my vision is totally f'ed up from the diabetes. I have cataractsin both eyes, so I'll have to get that fixed at some point.
I pretty much feel like total **** every single day and nobody seems to know what is going on.

Damn, will I will throw prayers and good thoughts your way. Keep taking the THC pills, or move some where they sell medical marijuana.
I feel selfish carring this extra 90 plus pounds around

Oh yeah I meant to ask, have you watched An independent comedy called CSA? If you haven't then check it out, it's a mockumentary from the viewpoint that the south won the war and how history would have changed.
It is kinda weird though. :D

That movie has been on my netflix que forever -- I just haven't got around to it yet.

I have a friend whose glaucoma had gotten so bad the only option was lens implants, which also are used for cataract patients. Everyone I know who has had them done has been thrilled with the results. It's not cheap, but your sight obviously is priceless.

Yeah, the idea of having my lenses cut out and replaced gives me the heeby jeebies. I can't see worth a damn though. Everything is blurry and milky looking. Hopefully I can get it done by the end of the year.

my mom had this done a couple of years back. she said it was basically instant sight.

Do you get outside and walk around much? I bet even just going to a park and walking around a bit would help... It sounds like you're on the right track, though. Get your weight up, get some energy back, take care of the vision and get a positive outlook on things. Good luck, buddy. You know we're all behind you!

I only recently found that radio clip. I actually think that's from an Aggie radio station, which is why the announcers don't sound more excited. I don't think that game was televised, so you just have to picture everything happening... which is easy to do with that guy "Well, now they're trying to remove the goalposts from the stadium..." :D
