Gunman Kills at Least One, TPD on Scene

Update: 4:45pm: Tulsa Police release this statement: Homicide Detectives are looking for a white, 1999, GMC Safari Van, bearing Oklahoma tag 612-FLT. The vehicle was taken from 2246 S. Oswego Place. This vehicle belongs to the kidnapping victim from South Oswego. The vehicle possibly contains a large amount of firearms. A white male was last seen driving this vehicle.

Update: 2:15pm: Tulsa Police have confirmed the suspect is dead. TPD is now looking for a white male in his 40s driving a white Chevy Astrovan. Officers think he is related to the crime.

Update: 1:59pm: Tulsa Police tell News Channel 8 the incident started near 22nd and Oswego. They received a call from the resident that a man was there with "deadly intentions." When officers arrived the man had a gun to the victim's head, then he hopped in his truck and took off. He got out at the Wal-Mart near 21st and Yale. Witnesses say he began firing toward the entrance of the store. Then, he went through the parking lot trying to get a car. He found a pick-up truck with a woman and baby inside, he pulled them out and took off. That's when police say he crashed into a semi-truck. At some point it appears two people were shot. One person has died, but investigators are still trying to figure out how that happened. Police are still in a stand-off with the man. Streets in the area are shut down. Everyone is asked to avoid the area.

Update 1:33pm: Tulsa Police say the suspect is in the pickup truck that has hit a semi at 21st and Yale. They are not sure of his condition. They have snipers on the roofs of buildings. They confirm 1 man is dead at the scene at 21st and Yale.

Update 1:10pm: News Channel 8 has confirmed at least one person has died as part of the shooting near 21st and Yale. Police are still on scene trying to get the gunman in custody. They believe he is hiding in the trailer of a semi-truck.

Tulsa police have a gunman held up in a semi-truck surrounded and streets shut down near 21st and Yale.

EMSA and Tulsa Fire are also on scene.

Damn man. I was right down there when it happened. Right after it happened I was passing Yale on 244 heading toward Cherry St. Traffic was already backed up as they quickly shut down Yale. Then as I noticed the traffic backed up it came on the radio.
