I've been meaning to do that again. Do you use a raft or canoe?

I use a floating chair. like a fishing tube but open in the front. Some of us use an innertubes. some rent the rafts.

We havent use a canoe in years. To easy to turn over and loose your beer, cigs, wallets, car keys, and your girl friend/wife. :D

I would not float the river right now, there is alot of debris from the storms such as brush-logs etc out there...be careful out there.

That's why you never dive into that river.

Not to mention an excessive amount of pig and chicken poop and the nasty bacteria that thrive on same. I would be careful not to let any of that water get into my mouth.

Be sure to check the flow rates, we have been stuck in a severe drought down here and some of the rivers are pretty low. The flow rate right now is in the low 50's which is slow.

camp just called and said river will be @ 5ft when we arrive, They have a new deck on the back of the cabin. The other one was taken out by the flood. Also had to buy new beds, i guess the water got up to window and flooded inside the cabins.

i am glad they got new beds , the other ones were hard as a rock

I'll bet that water is really cold right now and that your balls will be froze off by the time you get down the river. You better take a canoe and at the very least a raft

I use a open face fishing tube. Sit in the water all the way down river

I was thinking that at the very least. How long is the trip? If it's just one of the short ones....you might be OK. :D

I've never been to the Illinois but I plan on it this summer.

Was going to do that back in 2004 but they had too much rain and it was closed. We ended up doing the little river in town that goes beside the water part.

It's all about getting drinking peer and peeing constantly so it didn't really matter where we were...

Landry Jones had some boat issues on Tenkiller this past weekend. Don't worry, the locals took good care of him so the upcoming season is safe.
