I'm waiting for an actual news source link to come out(Oklahoman, Tulsa World) But it's all over twitter and facebook from very reliable people. JD Runnels, Trent Ratarree, and his cousin Chris Everage. Looks like it's true.

Lot of bad smoke out there right now about Brandon Everage. We're not going to report anything as fact until we have official confirmation but it doesn't look good.

Apparently they still haven't found him so there's nothing to really confirm it other than social media.

Here's a report from SoonerScoop

We have talked to several former teammates of Brandon Everage this morning and all have confirmed rumors of his death.

We are told Derrick Strait is with his family now. Everage reportedly fell off a boat and never resurfaced after an extensive search.

Brandon was known by his teammates as "Book" and he was one of Mike and Bob Stoops most beloved players in the early 2000s.

I'm told his former teammates are really hurting. He was a very popular player in the locker room and off the field.

If you go on a boat no matter how close to shore, wear a life vest -- no one should should be out on a boat without one period. This weekend always has the sad stories of boating incidents. Doesn't make a difference if you are a good swimmer or not -- wear a life vest so that you can keep posting on here because you never know what is going to happen out on a lake. While I am at -- buckle up in your car and let's make the rest of the holiday weekend a safe one for the Sooners and their fans.

I don't get knocked unconscious while boating. The lakes we visit are calm and clear and people don't a- hole it up going at ridiculous speeds or with smaller water craft. On the extremely rare occasions I go on those types of lakes, I wear a vest.

Quote of the thread. There are several articles in the The Oklahoman yesterday about pain medicine and certain ingredients that cause dependency. Don't walk in their shoes so have no idea the type of pain they experience all the time that the pain medication helps dull. What I do know is that he gave it all for the Sooners every game and helped return the Sooners to the top again.

It is a shame with all the medical discoveries that have been made that some pharmaceutical company doesn't come up with pain medicine that is not addictive and works better.

Gonna be one very emotional year for the football program. The only good thing about something like this is you're surrounded by a big, family-atmosphere of coaches, players, alums and administrators to soften the blow of a devastating tragedy. KTUL Sports Extra just played a interview with Bob where he talks about Brandon puking on his shoes and they can't find his backup for kickoff and he asks him "Can you go?" and Brandon pulls his helmet on and lines up and is the 1st one down the field and makes the play.

He said he just loved the guy and that all the players looked up to him and loved him too.

Good stuff. It's cool to see Bob talk about these guys that have shown how to put it all on the line and play their hearts out.

I love this program more and more as the years goes on.
