I attended a silent auction at work and I bid on an apple pie which I won for $17, even though I didn't actually bid and was actually gesturing with my arms while talking to someone. It turns out the CEO really wanted the pie so I told her I would bring it in to work and share in the break room, so that placated her. I also won a home visit and techie work by our computer specialist for only $40.

Last time I paid that much for pie, it was wearing a skirt.

Someone said it had better be darn good pie. I didn't actually bid on it, but I was a good sport since it was for charity and I am going to share. It is home made by a co-worker and actually looks great. I am much more happy about the $40 computer tech work home visit. That was a steal.

I couldn't decide between these two responses so I'll put both:

1. You don't know what a silent auction is, do you?

2. You got screwed on that Pie... in about a month Apple will come out with Pie 2. It'll be thinner, a different color, and have a camera.
