I was there and still can't figure out why Franny kept kicking FGs instead of giving it to that fatass running back on 4th and very, very shorts.

Some say that the day Fran Fran lost his mojo was 77-0. However, I'd have to say that it was the following year --- 2004 at College Station, when even a successful faked field goal and successful faked punt which BOTH WENT FOR TOUCHDOWNS, and a 14-point lead, at home, wrecking crew, Reveille, yell boys, the works, was not enough to beat OU.

Still pissed at that garbage holding call on Kelly, especially when you see the side replay.

Was this the game where porky lane was crying on the sideline? I feel like it wasn't...

If I recall correctly, the game was on the line, and Shermanator (or was it Fran by then?) didn't put Porky in. A&M ended up losing the Alamo Bowl, which they might have anyways. This was the infamous "Paterno on his deathbed" yell leader game... actually, that was before the game. The Yell Leader apparently was also in tears over being kept out of the game, just like Porky :rcmad:

i kinda felt sorry for porky. he was good for a short gain, & should've been given the chance.

loved him on KO coverage.

Fran's plan was a 12th man away from working... we just couldn't do anything on offense in the 2nd half and he knew it.

Listened to the 2nd half from downtown Fort Worth all the way back to OKC.
