I would think Franks and Clay. But we do need someone who is a threat every time there is a kickoff. Help me out here fellas.

Stills and Broyles for punts is a no brainer.

Stills and several others have done a little of it. Some of this depends on conditioning of the game (temp), score etc. . .

Broyles on puts is pretty set in stone unless we want to save his energy. I believe we'll have RBs on kickoffs, but I don't really know.

I believe young Mr. Stills threw a couple of naughty little decleatings on people trying to tackle Mr. Broyles last year.

I'd like to see more of that.

OU depth chart on SS.com is here. (http://www.soonersports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/football-depth-chart.html) It was last updated in March.

KR
Trey Franks
Ryan Broyles

KR
Brennan Clay
Ryan Broyles

PR
Ryan Broyles
Kenny Stills

I don't think you can get more official than the source itself :)

If there were anyone else I'd love to see get in the mix... James Winchester. Dude is a beast on special teams.

...oh wait. He'll end up with the ball even if we don't appoint him as the one to receive it:

Awesome picture. I think James Winchester is awesome. Who did he have the other fumble recovery against?

I think he had 3 in 2010. The first one:

"I took it away," Hanna said. "Then Winchester took it away from me."

"I helped with it," said Winchester, a walk-on from Washington, Okla.

"Hanna got to it first. I kind of fell on top of the pile and helped pull it out. They said white (OU) had the ball, and James kind of let go of it. Then I had the ball."

They were more than willing to share credit for the recovery. What mattered was that their coverage unit redeemed itself for two missed opportunities earlier in the game, when a pair of Way punts were almost downed near the Cincinnati goal line.

"It's a big play if we can pin them deep," Hanna said.

The second was at RRS.

The third was against Mizzou:

OU answered back, going 3-and-out on their opening drive but forcing a fumble by Missouri on the subsequent punt. Long-snapper James Winchester recovered the fumble at Missouri’s 45 yard line.

The Sooners capitalized on the turnover with a touchdown, a 27-yard pass from sophomore quarterback Landry Jones to freshman wide receiver Kenny Stills, tying the game at 7.

If you don't have a special teams guy to cheer for (every fan needs one), take Winchester. As soon as that ball's snapped, focus on James, who cares about the guy receiving on the other end, he's on the other team. Find James, follow James, and something awesome will happen.

I used to do the same thing with Jacob Gutierrez.

Winchester is my favorite Special Teams player.

Why are you posting an interesting football-related topic?:P

(OK... I think we want / need Broyles for punts. Great hands, big threat.

Kickoffs will be Franks + Brennan Clay... maybe B. Williams will get a shot?)

I'd like to see Finch out there as a Kick Returner or B. Williams.

Are you saying it would be stupid for kicks, punts, or both?

Yeah, why doesn't Finch get any love on this? I think he's the shiftiest dude we have.

I am okay with Broyles on punts, but I don't want him for kickoffs.
