It's unanimous!

The Senate voted unanimously on Wednesday to reject a $3.7 trillion budget plan that President Obama sent to Capitol Hill in February. Ninety-seven senators voted against a motion to take it up.

0-97...

Damnation, that Obama is a uniter.

We are now approaching day 760 since the Dem controlled Senate has passed a budget.

Unable to lead or just unwilling?

Who needs a budget? As long as Ben Bernanke has control of the printing presses we'll nevar run out of money.

So all 97 are Dems?

It's hard to say....

I mean....what exactly did they all not like? Was it not big enough or small enough or were some of their pet projects not there?

It's always easy to call something a joke but when we start actually getting close to finding out something....a story about Sluts or Michelle's bad hair or How Obama got dissed comes up...

The Dems have not passed a budget, that they are annually required to by law, in almost 760 days. That was April 29th, 2009... You can try to nitpick and divert all you want, but it comes down to two choices...

Unable to lead or just unwilling?

It obviously started off as unwilling. They didn't want to have to cast votes leading up to the elections in 2010 to try and save seats. That didn't really work out... That is politics.. Clearly, at the cost of our nation, but politics. But since then... It is more muddled.. I'm not sure that pea-brain of Harry Reid's can actually function anymore and he might actually be unable.

But at least we know what he thinks of Obama..
“light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Such a nice compliment..

Senate rejects Ryan budget; vote puts GOP on the spot
From Carrie Dann and Libby Leist

Senate Democrats forced a vote Wednesday on the controversial fiscal plan drafted by House Budget chief Paul Ryan, splitting the Republican caucus and forcing several vulnerable GOP senators who are up for re-election to go on the record supporting or opposing sweeping changes to the nation’s Medicare system.

The vote on the measure – which failed as expected -- came on the heels of a decisive Democratic victory Tuesday night in a New York special election that focused heavily on the proposed Medicare changes.

Moderate Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine were joined by Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts and Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska in breaking with Republican leaders to oppose the Ryan plan.
Snowe and Brown are up for re-election in 2012.

Tea Party-backed Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky also voted against the budget, saying its proposed spending cuts are not deep enough.

All Senate Democrats voted no.

The final tally was 40-57. Fifty-one yeas would have been necessary to move the plan forward.

Only four Republicans voted against the Ryan plan when it was passed by the GOP-led House in April. All House Democrats opposed the proposal.
The Senate also voted on three alternative measures, including one to take up President Barack Obama's budget.

No senators voted for the Obama budget; it failed 0 to 97.

Democrats argue that the budget proposed by Obama in February of this year has already been superceded by new plans from the White House and is therefore outdated, but Republicans were quick to highlight that the only Democratic budget to be addressed Wednesday night received not one vote of support.

Please give us the details of the "plan".. I'm sure it includes hard numbers, and wasn't just another speech... Here is what a budget looks like, even if it was an obviously terrible one.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/Overview/

Please also explain why The Chosen One released a budget on February 14th, 2011 and then less than two months later had to release a new "plan" with no details to replace his budget?

Why don't the schedule and vote on this "plan" right now?

They have nothing. They have no answers. Almost 760 days without a budget.. Criminal.

758 days... This is a core requirement from Congress. Passing an annual budget is one of the fundamental functions of Congress.

April 29th, 2009 was the last time Harry passed one. Criminal.

But you have to consider that the Senate didn't have a filibuster-proof supermajority back in 2009 and 2010 - oh, wait a second....

Now there are reasons for the unanimous vote other than the budget itself, but on the surface it doesn't look so good. Even with the usual RINO defectors, Ryan's proposal garnered 40 more yea votes in the D-controlled Senate than did fearless leader's.

Besides, Democrats are too busy saving Social Security for all the elderly...even though the GOP plan wouldn't affect those who are 55 years of age or older. Just post a video pushing grandma over a cliff, but heaven forbid they should let any actual facts get in the way.

DINO, you know that there were some DINO's in the mix, who voted like republicans, thus it was really not the super majority that it seemed to be. If a simple majority was all that was required, there would have been no problem getting a budget approved.
