Being a lefty myself, I always loved watching he & Larry Gura pitch for those great Royal teams back in the day. Only time I saw him live, he took a beating from Nolan Ryan & the Angels, but he was still one of my favorites:

The Orioles did a nice moment of silence for Split before the game tonight, and Ryan and Frank did a full inning of silence. They are going to do a big tribute on Monday at the start of the new homestand. As far as beloved Kansas City baseball players, Splitt is probably in a three way tie for second with Frank White, and Buck O'Neil.
