My bad, says Kyle Busch..

The 26-year-old NASCAR superstar was test driving a new Lexus when he gave it a little too much gas near his hometown of Mooresville, N.C.

I was test-driving a new sports car and I got carried away," Busch said. "I went beyond the speed I should have been going on a public road. I apologize to the public, my fans, sponsors, and race teams for my lack of judgment."

Busch was stopped driving between Troutman and Mooresville, about 30 miles north of Charlotte, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

Can a NASCAR driver legally buy a Lexus??

On a non-highway road? Uh...ok.

My mistake.. I haven't watched NASCAR in so long that I forgot they let Toyota in a couple of years ago.

I have about as much problem with this as I do with Willie Nelson smoking pot.

Your occasional pot smoker doesn't have the same potential to kill your family as does a reckless driver like this.

WICHITA, Kansas – A 50-year-old man is dead following a crash on W. Kellogg near 263rd St. W.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the driver of a Porsche, identified as 50-year-old Ronald Hodge, of Cheney, was speeding in excess of 100 MPH when his car side-swiped or rear-ended an SUV. The SUV left the roadway, coming to rest in a wheat field, but the Porsche flipped several times, coming to rest on its top in a field.

Hodge was pronounced dead on the scene.

My point was that Willie has proven he can handle his weed, and Busch has pretty conclusively proven he can handle a car at high speed.

I'm pretty certain Willie was at the end of the bus WITHOUT the steering wheel when he was smoking his pot

He only rolled it seven times...anyone less than an expert would have flipped at least a dozen...

It is a little different when the cars around you are going a third of your speed.

If there aren't any cars around besides the cop I don't think it matters.

My point is I don't give a **** what Willie smokes in his home and I don't give a **** if Kyle does 145 MPH on the race track.

Kyle maybe your NASCAR idol but he's a flipping moron doing this off the track.

Good point and I concede.. I think it was the way he expertly detached the driver side tire while upside down and sideways that lessened the rolls.

He's lucky he just got a ticket. Reckless driving is a criminal charge in most states.

I root for him to blow a motor either week. I just don't get much out of pearl clutching on the internet.

You can go to jail for 26 over in AR. He could have been doing the speed limit in my city and I would have stopped him anyway and planted some dope on him.

yeah, I think in Kansas you get a reckless driving arrest for going more than 30 over.

Most of us would have gone to jail. The last guy almost took me to jail for not giving him my autograph. I'm not even a Nascar Driver and he wanted my Autograph. I was like...WTH?

I think he saw I was packing quite the 3rd leg and mistook me for a porn star.

Most states are like that...I've been lit up for doing 90 in a 55 zone many times but never ticketed, so the cop was just letting the driver know he's not above the law and the driver realized he got a break and the officer could have really been a dick.
