Maybe this has been posted before but I didn't see it when I did a search.

Man Marries 107 Women, Fathers 185 Children

BIDA, Nigeria

The phrase "I do" comes once -- maybe twice or thrice -- in most people's lives. For one man in Niger, it comes on a weekly basis.

Bello Maasaba, an Islamic faith healer, has married a grand total of 107 eager women.

In a country with a long tradition of polygamy, the number is still quite, quite high. The number of children fathered by the popular healer also reaches skyward: 185 in all.

But why?

"I get a revelation from God telling me any woman I'm going to marry. If it wasn't from God, I wouldn't have gone beyond two," he explained to Los Angeles Times writer Robyn Dixon.

Maasaba said that he was visited by the archangel Gabriel, who told him to pursue faith healing and marry many, many women.

His religious quest for wives doesn't sit well with everyone. It landed him in jail for 22 days after being arrested under Islamic law; which scholars agree limits men to four wives. After protests from his wives and civil rights lawyers intervened, he was finally granted bail. And after 57 wives testified on his behalf in the country's High Court, Maasaba was freed without charge.

Maasaba, his wives and his faith-healing practice are all housed in a massive four-story, 89-room home in Bida, Nigeria.

He said it's a peaceful life, one without worry. His wives agree, saying they never fight with one another.

When asked about the more intimate details of his life with so many women, and he's asked often, he said everything works just fine.

"In his wisdom, God has given me the power and strength to give them the sexual portion they need," he told Dixon. "If I didn't satisfy them, they would leave."

That IS some throw down to all of Utah.
And from a not-fully-human guy at that.

Oh, sorry, the morms changed their minds on that little point a few years back, didn't they.

107 women on all fours in a ring facing outward. How big a room do you need to make that happen?

That is a LOT of sex!

Which STILL doesn't come close to making up for having to deal with 107 women with synchronized cycles.... (shudder)

Approx 2' across the shoulders X 107 = 214' = circumference = 2PiR, so 34' approx = R, so Diameter should be 38, add at least 5' on each side for working space....you'd need a room with approximate dimensions of 50' X 50' if you wanted to make a perfect circle.

And no, I have no experience in these matters; just a decent general education.

I would suggest, however, that a 'serpentine path' configuration could arrange the same numbers in a smaller space, thus cutting overhead and contributing to a more entertaining and video friendly arrangement.

And did I say I'd never done this on a professional level? Just wanted to be sure that we were completely clear on that point.

You'd think men would have all of the power in a society of multiple wives. But then you have to remember that populations are roughly half women, half men.

If a family consists of one man, many wives and whatever children, what do they do with all of the men without spouses?

In Nigeria, the answer is two-fold:

1. Lots of the wives mess around. The husband is limited by nature to only being in one place at one time.
2. Lots of guys who get left out. It's a fairly hard edged society.

Are we referring to the Latter Days or the Former Days?

How many wives did he need telling him to take out the trash, mow the yard, and paint the house?
