Two of Southern Miss's starting pitchers (#2 and #3) are academically ineligible. Their #2 might be able to come back but #3 is out for the postseason.

You would think the committee would take that into account, which could be HUGE for us.

Wow. That's a big blow. It'll be interesting to see if that does play a role in their chance to host. I don't see how it couldn't.

At the very least, it should wreck their chances to have a good showing in the C-USA tourney. Which, of course, could be very good for us.
