;) seriously though, they lose at least five and win their mediocre bowl after ending the regular season with a close but still losing effort at home against us.

Honestly, the schedule is ridiculously in their favor. Texas sucks, A&M is great at choking and always seems to suck early, and Tech is awful. They may not lose until they play us, as sickening as that is.

I predict they drop three: A&M, KState, and us.

OK, my honest-honest-honest OSU assessment:

1- They have no defense.
Their Lemon didn't get drafted into the Neffel but he can't come back to OSU, either. They might have had the insane INT against us but that won't stop the run, which is where most teams will likely get past them.

2- A lot of revenging to be had.
Think Zona remembers who it lost a bowl game to last season? Think A&M remembers the game that Jerrod Johnson threw away and solidified Tanny's position as starter? Think UT remembers who each of its seven losses were against? HOW long had it been since Tech lost to OSU in sandy Lubbock?

3- Mike Gundy will revert back to original form.
Dana Holgerson kept Gundy's paws off the offense and more into a figurehead role last season, causing a lot of Poke points to be scored last year. Dana is gone to West Virginia, which means we might see Mikey ignoring the defense again in favor of drawing up plays on the sideline again. Lol @ [hairGel] not even looking at the field and drawing up plays when OSU's on defense. (and yes, I know they have Todd Monken)

4- OSU is better in an underdog role when expectations are low
Oh crap, how to handle the pressure and when opponents are up for our game instead of thinking they have a bye week. I know! Let's jack up ticket prices and force people to buy season tickets for "premium games!" :stunned: And not joking. OSU has no idea how to handle pressure situations in big time games. That's why they keep losing to us.

5- They will be upset after getting upset
It will just take one loss to anyone to defuse the high they're coming off after a "dream season" of co-co-co-Big 12 South championship rings and a mid-tier bowl win. Like Boise State, OSU can't afford to lose in this era of polling and BCSing your way to prominence. Establish programs can, OSU can't.

Five reasons for the five losses they will have this season. And no, OP.com, we have no intention of eating any of the crow you collect from your veterinarian department. Ewwwww;)

The other game that could possibly give them major problems is the road game @ Mizzou. They'll beat the 'horns in Austin, and TT in Lubbock. OSU should have a pretty good team this season.

goingoneight
5/24/2011, 08:58 PM
well, like any other team, it depends on luck. i don't wanna predict what happens to who. but osu needs to score a lot to win usually. while blackmon and co. are good, can the backs carry the load without say, a star qb? look no further than OU in 2009 to see where a potentially great team can end up.
that said, best wishes come true, i see them being similar to last year. their defense as usual being the scapegoat against teams who can run with them. doesn't mean they won't be 12-0, winning each game 55-54.

They rip up La-La and don't give AZ a thought. Take it out on Tulsa. And then A&M brings them back to earth. They have the bye to regroup and beat Kansas and *. Fealing very proud of themselves, they go into Mizzo and get bitch slapped. And of course they lose to OU. But wouldn't it be a pisser if Iowa State took them by surprise.
