Seriously though. I am far better in an awful situation than my wife...or most people for that matter. While she panics, I will be covering the children with a mattress, and making sure emergency supplies are near. That probably seems stupid to someone whom nothing bad can happen.

Not implying you fit that model chk.

That's because you have the taste buds of an okie. What if the dragon is from Iowa? They haven't invented ranch there yet. Ketchup is all they have.

Oklahoma: "Manliest state in the Country. Where men head-butt bison, punch deer in the face… “IN THE FACE”, and fight off tornadoes with their gargantuan dicks."

Well, I guess it's "Man Up" time, boys. Perhaps if you formed a line from say El Reno to Moore, you could protect OKC...

Look, we live in OK, so we know what to do, and we also know that if it's gonna get us, it's gonna get us. I just try to not do something stupid like be on the treadmill in front of a plate glass window when it hits.

I'm going to guess you don't have small children. I would also say this statement is an example of why I wish I were home.

Look I've been in Naders, I've chased Naders, and I've sat on the roof and watched Naders. It's a familiar part of our lives. That's why I'm going out ofy way to get the ole lady to take this seriously. If nothing happens... no harm, no foul.

Well after seeing what happened to a friend's house in Joplin Sunday night, I'm philosophical, kids or not. I'll take precautions if I need to, but I'm pretty resigned to the fact that there is only so much I can do.

Question: as we enjoy windows in our house, at least one in every room plus a few sky lights here and there, the safest place we have is the laundry room. So is it a good idea to throw the kids into the dryer if the **** hits the fan or no? (I would of course use a dryer sheet to avoid static cling.

We moved our vehicles up to the garage at Promenade Mall. It looks pretty bad.

We've got a bunch of kin in Goldsby who only responded that they were in their shelters - nothing since. One of them is wheelchair bound. We got a text from our ex-football coach at Lex (who is now the coach at Washington) that his house is gone. Bummer.

Welp, soon as I finish my bowl of chili, gonna go open up the cellar... clear out any cobwebs...

Hope we don't need it. :)

I hid in the neighbor's shelter in South Norman. We're fine here. Hope everyone else is.

Well it used to be nice. But as the years go on it has gone downhill a bit. The El Chico is still nice.

Missed us at Lake Hefner.
Wish everyone else the best!
