Haven't seen anything yet on here. Seems like he's got his act together. Pushing a National Sales Tax and is in favor for drilling at ANWR and offshore drilling. I like him so far.

What are his actual actions that go along with "We need to empower the States!" Give them all more Tax money we don't have? And seriously....if you like all but the Nat. Sales tax....then he's not going to be able to do what he thinks needs to be done.

Herman Cain is a neocon, plain and simple.

He supported TARP, he opposes an audit of the Fed, and he voted for renewal of the Patriot Act.

The Republican Party needs to purge its ranks of neocons in a Stalinesque fashion. To the gulags with Bill Krisotl and all his ilk!

(I'm only 40% joking)

TARP -- He did originally support TARP, but once they changed the way it was going to be used, he changed his mind on it. He didn't forsee the Admin deciding on who would be the winners and losers.

AUDIT OF FED -- Cain does not favor auditing the Fed, but he is also on the record stating that he doesn't and wouldn't oppose an audit.

PATRIOT ACT -- How exactly did he VOTE for it if he's never held public office?

Neoconservatism in the United States is a branch of American Conservatism that currently focuses on foreign policy, where it proposes to use American economic and military power to bring capitalist democracy to other countries.
The term neoconservative was used at one time as a criticism against proponents of American modern liberalism who had "moved to the right".[3][4] Socialist Michael Harrington coined the current sense of the term neoconservative in a 1973 article concerning welfare policy.[5] According to E. J. Dionne, the nascent neoconservatives were driven by "the notion that liberalism" had failed and "no longer knew what it was talking about."[6] The term "neoconservative" was the subject of increased media coverage during the presidency of George W. Bush.[7][8] with particular focus on a perceived neoconservative influence on American foreign policy, as part of the Bush Doctrine.[9] The term neocon is often used as pejorative in this context.

If that isn't the Neo-Con playbook I don't know what is.

1) Refer to something in the news;
some woman at a rally once said that she no longer had to worry about paying her bills and mortgage if Obama got elected.
2) Take said thing wildly out of context;
We assume that by this, she wasn't saying that she'd be able to earn enough money to pay her bills and mortgage, we assume without evidence or further inquiry that she thinks the President of the United States is really going to pay all of those things for her, and for the coupe de grace, we assume that this woman, with her assumed bad intentions is representative of all Obama supporters.
3) Make accusations that the President is a vile individual;
See the above, we assume that because we assume that this woman takes the ridiculous posture we're assuming she takes, that the President is going to take the same assumed posture. We do this without any evidence or inquiry, but that's okay, facts don't matter.

In no way did I suggest I even support Obama or his policies. Some I do, some I don't. It's not a party thing. One of these days, you'll (hopefully) grow up and realize that neither party provides a solid model for the continued existence of this country; that both parties in the last 50 years have conspired to put us on the path to experiencing a serious debt crisis; and that neither seems particularly worried about that.

I'm just gritching about the moronic and predictable material you and your ilk post here. It's really like you think politics is some sort of comic book issue and that our elected officials are cartoons. It's not funny, it's not smart, and once you reach a certain age, if you continue in that manner, it's a little sad.
