I think Evan Williams will fill that role.

in college, the liquor store we frequented had a dude that went on and on on how JD stole EW's recipe. spent like 15 minutes telling us about it. we didnt give a ****, we just wanted to get out of there and dust off the handle of JD we just purchased

Evan Williams is a great value, priced in the $20s and a good, smooth bourbon. Other really nice and reasonably priced bourbons are Knob Creek and Four Roses Single Barrel, both around $30 a fifth. Knob Creek recently came out with a 120 proof bourbon which retails for around $40. If you can find it, definitely pick it up. It is incredibly smooth for 60% alcohol. Trust me on this one. I live in the heart of bourbon country and I sample all kinds, and the 120 proof Knob Creek is far and away the best bourbon you can get for $40 a fifth.

Not too bad for 1/2 the price. It's what I drink.
