How terrible. Venables was so broken up about Box and now his older brother dies. All of this in less than three days time. Venables was heartbroken at the press conference, I can't imagine how sad he is now. Prayers for the Venables family and friends.

This is incredibly sad. I can only imagine the depth of grief that he must be experiencing right now. My heart goes out to him.

Sorry to hear about his brother.

I believe Brent's brother is (Arthur) Kirk Venables, a 1986 graduate of Salina, KS high school.

Awful news! Prayers for Venebles family. Its been tough for OUr Sooners in 2011. A lot of things are happening. I am sure there are good days ahead for OUr team.

UT has (well, had) their Coach Boom on defense, but I have always loved our own expressive defensive coordinator.

Hope he's making it through this difficult time through the support and love of his players, fellow coaches and family :(

As far as I am concerned, the rest of you on this site can have cccasooner2 and do with him as you please. He is someone that I wouldn't touch with a 10' ft. pole. He must be one sorry SOB. A person like that , who would say something like that about Venables, needs to have his testicles operated on with a dull knife. Again, WHAT A SORRY, SORRY SOB.

I have prayed for all of these families affected by these unfortunate deaths, but I have prayed for Brent Venbales for sure. He has had an extremely bad two weeks.

Now, I have tried to find his name, but Coch V apparently didn't give his name to the press. Did anyone know his name or know him personally?
