Fourth place with this roster is beyond a huge shock and a huge dissappointment. We are obviously going on the road for the regional and I don't like our chances no matter where we are sent. We play like a grade school team on the road.

The polls mean less in college baseball than they do in any other sport. If the writers/coaches had seen the way we have played on the road this year, I promise you we wouldn't be ranked in the top 15. Sunny even said it after the game. The fact we would have someone who has been in the program for four years even try to steal third on a 3-0 count is beyond amazing. And we have played like this on the road all season long. Stupid play after stupid play.

Has the media or anyone asked Sunny why Johnson tried to steal? Coaching decision or bad-judgment decision by the player? If the latter, it would be different if Casey were a freshman, but he's a four-year senior, "183 games played is most on current roster ... Has 24 starts in 2011 and 147 in career, second most on the team" (from SoonerSports.com).

Whatever, it sure killed another excellent opportunity to win a game or at least take the lead: With Mistich (.321) at the plate with a 3-0 count, the chances were good that he either (A) works Blank for a walk, loading the bases, or (B) gets a base hit to score the go-ahead run.

Now we have to depend upon Texas Tech to beat the Pokes for the 3rd seed.

Personally, I think Southern Miss winning yesterday killed our chances of hosting. Not only that, I don't see how a team that lost all but three series in the conference can host.

We'll be a dangerous 2-seed if we pull our heads out, but I'm not very confident that this team will do that.

The good thing: Expectations are gone. There are no expectations now. This team did not handle expectations well at all.

TCU's series record against MWC competition compared to the Big 12 and SEC?! That's apple and oranges, more like Kia's and BMW's, actually.

Last year when everybody said Duke should be a starter I took the then unpopular side that he was a once through the line up closer. (Which is not an insult he is needed). Of course I got told I didn't know what I was talking about. I know the cubboard is bare but hasn't Bruce done well enough to risk an inning or two. That is a question that I hope some one can answer not a statement because I have seen Bruce only a limited amount.
