If you are into reading books, I would suggest reading The Monster of Florence, which is a true and pretty interesting story.

It talks in pretty good detail about the Italian police and judicial system.. And some of the people they talk about have direct ties to this case that you posted.

I would not want to be in the Italian judicial system for anything over a speeding ticket....
