I'm in the market for a new toilet. My short list is American Standard Champion 4, Toto UltraMax or Toto Drake (all with right height).

Any experience with any of these? Have a better recommendation?

(And no potty jokes, please)...lol...

Thanks!!

The imported models get better mileage.

Too much importance is put on the manufacturer of the toilet when the important issue is technique when using the toilet.

Proper feet placement and elevating the knees enough that the corned christmas tree can slide out easily is something that is just learned over time.

The Totos are supposed to be really good, but pricey. The American Standard probably will not meet expectations. The Kohler Cimmaron is supposed to be good too.

Just make sure you go chair height and oval.... so your legs don't fall asleep and your nuts don't get squished...

You're welcome

I had a butt washer attachement the whole time I lived in Japan. Very nice 'extra'.

I've got one of those now. But she's wanting a pay increase and benefits.

Mine is pretty awesome. I'll have to check the model. I know it had to be relatively inexpensive.

You know you've lived in SE Asia too long when there are footprints on your toilet seat.

And they're yours.

On a serious note, I have a Champion 4 in one of my bathrooms and I kick myself for not putting one in the other.

Works like a champ. That thing'll suck a turd faster than JohnnyMack.

My friend just got toilets in his house that have 2 buttons: 1 for when you take a crap, and one for when you take a p!ss. Blew my freaking mind.

I wouldn't have one of those. The parts to do repairs are ridiculous expensive compared to standard parts.

We've upgraded to 2 Totos in a matter of 2 years.
The wiffie's is nicer, in that you flip the lid down, but it closes gradually on its own. (no seat slamming)
No heated version here. That one IS PRICEY!

You can get slow closing lids for any toilet.

overseas....no.

Well there is a downside to a lot of places. That one is pretty nice, it looks like it has been cleaned. But you are likely to run into more than a few that never have been. In some pretty nice places too.

Your link says $1670. I'd be happy to give you a perfectly dandy bucket for free if you want to do your business in the house in something not connected to the sewer. Just don't bring it back and it is all yours!

it's a Turkish toilet. That would explain the darker tile at the bottom I guess....

you put your feet on the feet rests and squat and poop in the hole.
