So ESPN tells me that Stoops will go to Florida because he likes beaches?? While I feel kind of stupid for not knowing this, I find a picture of where Gainesville is located in Florda:

Seriously?? Beaches?? Just how stupid is ESPN?!

Who needs a link?? You can find it in just about every freaking TV show, magazine and internet article in the last 10 years.

Why is this brought up now? Since Stoops came here he has been a hot commodity, every time a team with any remote connection to Stoops fires there head coach Stoops is the guy the media points to as the leading candidate.

I brought it up now because its too early for me to go to bed and too late for me to make a cheese run.

I just don't get why you would all of a sudden be so excited/worried/scared about Stoops leaving or whatever this deal is with espn.

Well TBH, that location is probably the crappiest place in the U.S. to be outside doing spring drills. All the florida humidity with none of the coastal wind.

Supposedly, Stoops and Spurrier own beach houses not too far from Daytona. Can't remember the name of the town. But I'm not moving to Colorado because I own a home in Aspen. I don't own one but if I did it would be a vacation home and I don't need to live close to it to enjoy it.

How far you reckon it is from Gainesville to the beach?

I think it is about an hour to Cedar Key. That is a little closer than Norman is to the Gulf.

It's about 75 miles to a good beach, not exactly a great place to live if you "love" beaches.
