He's now in the College Football Hall of Fame.

When he left OU he was tied for the all time OU lead in touchdowns, and rushing yards. And second in scoring behind Buddy Leake.

Awesome, great to see him inducted. Just another player on our long list of great running backs.

Long overdue.Now the HOF needs to add Buddy Burris and Tom Catlin.They are the two most deserving Wlkinson era players that have yet to be enshrined.

It is always good that players from the 1950's get the recognition they so well deserve. Way to go Clendon.

Well deserved, but I am surprised that athletic director Joe Castiglione was surprised (albeit that it was a “very, very nice surprise.”).

I was 10 years old when Notre Dame ended OU's 47 game winning streak. As the game progressed and OU was being stoned by the ND defense, my late father was yelling at the TV set, "Give the ball to Thomas, dammit!" Even Clendon couldn't save that day.

There is that, but there has been way too much sadness. Early on I was just angry because we had some of our guys get arrested and now I am sad because we have lost Sooners way too soon.
