In HS, my brother and I loaded railway freight cars with "rock-wool" a/k/a asbestos during the summers. It was hard work but a great workout. We lost on average 9 pounds a day from just sweating.

Aircraft test flights, having a gps indicator on your phone on the flight made it even cooler. That's of course if it was after the no smoking light was off. :D ;)

My first truck driving job, when I was 21, was really cool at the time. I'd barely even been out of Oklahoma at that point, so I loved being able to travel all over the country.

After that first year, though, it got old in a hurry.

When I was 15, I was in charge of taking care of a couple of baseball and softball fields in Lawton. We had prairie dogs out the azz. I would stick a fire hose down the prairie dog hole, turn on the water and when they swam to the top, I would bang 'em in the head with a ball bat. It was great fun, and it improved my swing; not to mention that I got $1.65 per hour.

I was the quality troubleshooter for Goodyear North America...I was stationed in Tyler while my boss was in Akron...

A different technical problem at various plants each week...I was traveling 6 months a year with everything paid for...I saved some serious cash and really enjoyed the job...

Then Goodyear bought Dunlop and nearly went broke...poof, the gravy job was gone and I was transferred to Union City, Tn....bummer...

If you looked at an Oscar De La Renta or After Six catalog in the late 90's, you've seen me.

My current job...however, when I was in college I was an EMT. We were a bunch of 18-20+ year olds, guys and girls all partnered up in rigs and stations for 24 hours a day.

Lots of sex in the stations and in the backs of the rigs in between 911 calls.

Controlling aircraft in Nam with the manual sweep radar.
Especially vectoring search & rescue missions.
(Sure is better than drillin' holes in your head and fillin' them up again!))
:D

OK! I admit, I liked Nam's "open carry" laws too!
