Is the Town Pump the barbecue joint? Back in the early 80's there was a great band in Fayetteville. They were called "Zorro and the Blue Footballs." They were damn good musicians, and put on one helluva stage show. They broke up, but some of them are back in another band in the Austin area.

http://www.powerhouseseafoodandgrill.com/ is a really good option for dinner and drinks. The food and drinks are very good and the prices are reasonable. It's just off Dixon Street which is Fayetteville's version of Campus Corner. Several bars in the neighborhood.
