Over or under? The science of toilet paper orientation (http://news.cnet.com/over-or-under-the-science-of-toilet-paper-orientation/8301-17938_105-20061128-1.html#ixzz1M4abvgi0)

Apparently, how you roll your toilet paper says something about your personality.

The folks at Engineering Degree have taken a scientific approach to answering one of the most critical questions of modern times--should toilet paper hang over or under? Check out their detailed infographic above, complete with Jay Leno's take on the issue and scientific equations to impress your postmodern nerd friends.

The in-depth look into the advantages and disadvantages of each toilet paper orientation was created as part of a viral marketing campaign for Engineering Degree, a resource for would-be engineers.

My personal take--if you really want to get good coverage in the trees and on the roof, it's essential to throw the roll with the paper hanging over. So, which way do you roll?

Who cares if it touches the wall? You're supposed to wipe your *** with it, not your mouth.

Does anyone really count the tiles? And, are they really called tiles?

On Edit: Does anyone really use one tile? That just seems nasty.

First off, they're called 'sheets'. It's a double entendre, and not a very good one.

Secondly, the orientation of the roll has far less to say about a person than the more penetrating question of whether you are a 'folder' or a 'scruncher'.

So, brief show of hands (and there's an entendre there, as well, Dam! I'm full of 'em today): who's a scruncher? who's a folder?

When I was growing up and we would visit those hillbilly grandparents in Texas, it was one sheet, and the sheet was a page out of the Sears catalog.

At my granny's in Kansas we used all kinds of magazines and crap. Those slick-paged ones sucked at getting the poop off I want you to know.

No doubt. My mom used to ask "where are all your underwear boy?" I'd go "I don't know, maybe the washer ate them." Yes, she'd smack me in the head.

The desert around Tucson is littered with my old BVDs with **** all over them. Sometimes, when I had to **** more than once I'd tear the bottom of my t-shirt off as well. That really pissed mom off. I'd tell her we were playing smear the queer and it got torn.

High Points In Poopery:

Getting severely distressed on a business trip and being confined to the toilet. Then realizing that the phone on the wall next to the john could be used to order drinks from room service...

I too rest mine on top of the holder, then I can stick two fingers inside the roll with my non wiping hand and wrap some around my other hand when I need to take some off. way more efficient
