A friend of mine used to have a boat down on Lake Cumberland, KY. He always told me he had real low mileage on his engine. So I went down one weekend and found out why he had such low mileage: He spent nearly all his time hanging out at the marina on a folding chair on the dock, socializing with other people who also had boats but rarely went out. We went out on the lake once for about half an hour and came right back. I always wonder why he spent the money on the boat, gas, upkeep, and marina fees, if he just liked sitting there and talking at Burnside marina.
