It was fun, but f that. We moved our dorm crew off campus. The frat idea was a very short failed experiment. I don't conform well.

Same years but in Cate Center for me. I had a blast, probably more so than I should have...

Naw. That ain't my style. I just wasn't playing ball. It was getting harder for the other guys. That's how hazing works.

Walker Tower. I don't miss it. My roommate pledged a frat, but it looked to me like those guys were either frat jocks or ghey preppy types. I never understood how they all seemed to mix so well in their houses.

1 year in Walker was good enough for me. Apartment the rest of the time. GDI.

One year only, with the key card locking doors, small white hallways, shared rooms and bathrooms, I couldn't take more than one year. Felt like an insane asylum.
One and done for me....McSpadden in Cate Center.
A year in Cross Center was plenty for me. After a year off campus I moved into the Kappa Sigma house in 74 . . .

Hell, do the kids now still live in those crap shacks? I thought they all live in University Apartments now.
Er'body knows that the duplexes on Shoreridge were the party spot.

I only stayed in Jones Dormitory for a year. Who stays in the Athletic dorms now that they can not have athletic dorms anymore?

I was in Cross Center - Baker House. You can still see the brick I painted gold below the window of my room on the second floor. I lived there in 73.

The Commons was THE party apartment complex until they built the Cottages.

two years in Cate Center. First year was all freshman dorm - an animal house experience. second year was all upperclassmen - very studious and calm - lots of smart people.
... then off-campus in duplex/apartment living.

its 51% non athletes.... but the athletes get preferred choice.
So technically not an athletic dorm, but still an athletic dorm.
Freshman year in the dorms... then I had to get out before my allergies killed me. Too much mold....
One year in the fraternity house, then after that just split time between Carson Engineering and Oconnells...

Does anyone remember this strange grad student in Physics/Astronomy who lived on the top floor of Walker tower? He had been in grad school for something like 15-20 years but could never get his Ph.D. because he was trying to disprove an established theory of Physics developed by Newton or Einstein. This grad student was one strange dude. I wonder if he ever got his doctorate or if he is still living in Walker tower, still working on his doctorate after, what, 40-50 years?
