Chris Wilson leaving OU to go to MS State, worked under Manny on D, now is the D coordinator at State since Diaz left for whornville and Wilson isn't planning on changing the D up too much from Manny's style....but this is all just in case the coaches wanted to make a call :)

The inside word is now having seen what he has to work w/ Manny is doing a full-court press to lower the whorn faithful's expectations. I keep hearing about "work in progress", "long-term process", "rebuilding" etc. etc.
He may turn out to be a great coach but he may not be in Austin long enough to make a big impact. The whorn defense was pathetic last year, espicially at home, but has been spared excessive criticism b/c the O was putrid bad. If they lose half as many homes games this year as last he will be the next Greg Davis. As in Mack will tearfully let him go in order to hide his own culpability.

Scoring Defense: #49 nationally, #5 big 12.
Pass Eff. Defense: #36 nationally, #5 big 12.

Their defense was not the cause of their 5-7 season. It was their inept offense!

I dont know if they gave up, but we all should know and should understand when turning the ball over, it gives your opponents short fields and easier scores. Texas had a ton of turnovers lost.

In fact, Texas was 116 in turnovers lost with 30 or 2.5 per game.

No, just clarifying what I was doing. The Texass fans like to make things up...we shouldnt follow suit, which is why I was trying to get the facts cleared up. Texas' defense was not their cause or problem. It was their offense, and Mack Brown in general!
