I heard about 3 days or so.

I've missed a couple shuttle launches while down there. I did get to see a night launch from the Cocoa Beach area and it was the ****.

My old man worked on the shuttle during its early days. We even temporarily lived in Florida a couple times for about 6 months each time. I've seen day and night launches and very many landings out here.

We saw a completed shuttle on the back of a flatbed after being built driving down the road to Edwards..and had many fly overs with the shuttle on the 747.
