This is a very common recurring nightmare among persons who have a lot of schooling. A psychologist friend of mine says it is actually a mild form of PTSD, believe it or not.

This is mine. I have this dream about once a month. Usually the dream involves having a math class and a history or economics type class with an enormous volume of reading required. Somehow my mind manages to compress an entire semester into a single dream: forgetting where my classes are, blowing off reading assignments, and finally realizing that the final is in one week and there is no way I can learn that much math and read 1000 pages of textbook reading. :O

Me too, although I can't say it's really a fear. I wake up thinking, "Whatevs, I've got a job and could care less."
But it's interesting that I still have variations on this dream and I have been out of college for 25 years. I think the last one involved having failed the class the semester before, i am retaking it, and still show up the last day having done none of the work.
Whatevs.
