Coach Leach was good for college football. I think he was kind of heartbroken that Maryland didn't choose him. He would have kicked major arse in the ACC. The turtle would have been feared, if not for their football team, then for all of Leach's turtle analogies on how speedy the turtle really was in its natural element (or something) despite the fact that it carried it's football helmet (metaphor!!!) around everywhere.

I am not sure what he'd say about Buckeyes, but I would probably listen to it and not hate tOSU as much afterward. :D

The school in Columbus, OH is a big and old institution. And like every other institution that is big and old, it is also conservative. Mike Leach would probably be at the bottom of the list of potential coaching hires at tOSU, no matter who else was on it.

Have you ever thought about WHY Big Ten schools run the ball more often and have so many games at 11 am?

Running the ball = game ends sooner
Early start = less drunk fans arrive at the game.
Shorter game = Less drinking by fans during the game (by pocket shot and other means of course)

Less drinking by fans during the game + Less drunk fans arriving at game = Happier campus police.

Mike Leach offense = Lots of points
Lots of points = Highly ranked team
Highly ranked team = Primetime television
Primetime television = Late start time.

Mike Leach four-hour game + Lots of points + Late start time + Penn State standard drunkiness = Remove the skull from the pirate flag, arrrrrgh!
