A small bit of chatter circulating on A&M boards regarding the Big XII wanting to move this year's A&M vs OU football game to Saturday, Sept. 10th ...

Anyone hearing anything on the Sooner side of things?

I'd be surprised if Joe C. and Coach Stoops did this. Hope they don't

Is it me, or is this the most sketchy schedule we've had in a long time?

If they want it....I'm against it unless I get refund for my ticket and still get to go.

Whenever. Can't wait for this rematch. Won't be a problem at home. I want to put 30 on "Ten" (get it, the QB?) I know... Lame.

Blame Nebraska and Colorado. We weren't supposed to go to ten teams until 2012, so when they decided to leave ASAP it sent everyone scrambling.

If thats the case. We would start out playing Tulsa on Sept 3. A & M on Sept 10. Fla St on Sept 17, Missouri, Sept 24. Thats pretty tough.

got a link from the ag board? just curious what they are saying see as many of us haven't heard anything. and hands down that would be the toughest month of any team this season if that were the case. i'm for keeping it where it is

NOVSooner, it was on the TexAgs premium (Subscription) board.

None of the posters discussing it were for the change, as it would have us rolling into y'all, then OSU, then Arkansas, etc. OU would have to have concerns as well, with the FSU game timing.

I don't think anyone wants this.

This would suck, get banged up and then face FSU in Tallahassee no thanks.

Totally sucky idea. Wife and I are planning on coming out to the game. Her first OU game, my first game/time back in Norman since 2003.

That would be stupid as OU has already bent over for the Big12 with their scheduling this season....

Totally disagree Bri. The conference has known for several months that the '11 schedule was going to have to be drastically changed and IMO, they have had plenty of time to do. In fact, if one goes to the Big 12 website, the schedule has been set. Why soonersports/OU Ath. Dept. hasn't picked it up is beyond me.

Similar game last yr: remember Tech agreed to move the horn game up to Sept, got beat.......if they had only hung in there and stuck with the later date, tex woulda rolled over for them too....

Moot point now, the 2011 schedule was just released; A&M / SMU got moved to Sunday night, Sept. 4th, no other Big XII games changed.

So now it's on to the dreaded off-season, no-Spring football season

You really think they haven't been working on this for several months? The fact that you think 40 schools' schedules can be tweaked and finalized over a weekend is LOLsome.

I know we tried to do some hinky stuff with Ball state but they refused
