Is that so? Hmmm, well this isn't one of those really revisionist-history type movies, huh?

I am a civil war buff and have made a few trips to battlefield sites. I'll watch it when it hits HBO, Showtime, Max or Starz.

I saw it and liked it. I love American Civil War history. I once asked a co-worker who was Irish, tho schooled in England if he enjoyed movies about the Civil War and he quickly retorted, "Which one?"

Think of it as a real real real old Law and Order. I kept waiting for Sam Waterson to show up in an old-timey beard.

It really doesn't need to be seen on the Big Screen. Sadly, there was no shower scene.

I thought Redford did a very good job.
