Les Miles' sister dies in car accident

ADDIS, La. -- Authorities say the sister of LSU coach Les Miles has been killed in a car accident near Baton Rouge.

Danyelle Doucet with the West Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's office says Ann Browne was killed at the scene of the wreck Friday in Addis, a small town about 10 miles southwest of Baton Rouge. She says no one else was injured but wouldn't release any other details.

The Baton Rouge Advocate reports that the 54-year-old Browne was pulling out of a subdivision when her car was struck by a pickup truck.

This is awful. I enjoy making fun of Lester with the rest of you all for obvious reasons. But I do feel bad for him and his family in this case.

I am a survivor of a crash with fatalities and I have been in recovery for three years and still am having a tough go. There is nothing worse than having a family member killed in a wreck. My heart goes out to the Miles family.

Dude coaches a game that college kids play. The impact on a family from a traumatic death is huge and beyond comprehension. It's shaming to know i root for the same team as some people who can't set aside some petty sports rivalry to show some empathy. I am sure OUI posters will get blamed for the tacky posts.
