... minus of course usual location and all the hard-work and setup that has to be involved with the regular game day tailgates.
Any SF.com get-together planned?
I would say to pray for no rain, but as our state has been drought stricken for the past year or so combined with all that crappy snow and low temps of February... BRING ON THE RAIN FOR THE SPRING GAME! :mad:

I pray for tons and tons of rain on Friday, and tons and tons Sunday.
But Saturday, given the long-arse drive from MN, where our good days are still in the low 50's and snow is still on the ground in patches, forgive me if the wife, my two monkeys, and I are hoping for about 80 and sunny in Norman on April 16.
Rain during football is not always a bad thing. It impresses recruits that our resilient fanbase will withstand any weather to see our beloved Sooners :)

I would like to go by as well, but if there's no setup then nobody will stick around... I'll probably end up pestering Dean if I find out where he'll be hiding on Saturday.

I don't post here much but have gone to ya'lls tailgate with my buddy word for four years or so. Where is the location again? Always enjoy hanging with you guys and gals.

It's normally in the Casa Bonita parking lot, but we don't really officially have it this time.
Will we get chased off if we just show up and drink there? :D

i parked at that gas station right down the road for 20 bucks. It was raining so hard.
I just walked over to the SF Tailgate spot with my beer and lady and started drinking. I posted a thread when i got there. I bought a cardboard box from the guy at the gas station for 2 dollars. He gave me free ice.
I called Collier11, and him and BTK showed up. Yermom came too.
it was good times in the rain
We left at halftime... Rainy ..... The only time i have ever left a game before it was over in that stadium.

The game will not be televised or webcast so the only way to see the Sooners will to be in the stands on April 16!

SL is better!!! You get amazing breakfast every morning, the works. FREE
The restaurant is also really good. The give you a ton of food. Free appetizer
They also have a bar there, with good drink prices. You can pass out and have your wife put you on the bellhop cart, and take u back to the room! :D

I only stayed @ SL oncelast year, but it was a blast. Casino is just down I35, food is good and the bar is awsome. Great atmosphere. Plan on staying there a few times this season.

Buffet is decent. There's a kind of sports bar/restaurant there that is good. I believe it's called "Sooner Legends" (?)

They have Autograph's which is a sportsbar type deal and it sucks ***. The only thing I've had there that was decent was the Jason White Wings - and those suckers were every bit as hot as blazin' from BWW. The sammiches/burgers and stuff are pretty much meh.
They have a big buffet that does pretty good crab legs on Friday nights. I don't know this for sure, cause I've never eaten at their buffet, but they have a hell of a line for it and people all say it's really good. It oughta be for about $25 per head.
They have a Burger King, a Taco Mayo, some place called Rick's Cafe which has sammiches/pizza (the pizza really ain't bad), I think one of those Asian fast food joints, etc.
There's a Sonic across the street, a McDonald's right down the street, Libby's Cafe at the next exit down I-35 (Goldsby), and if you just cross the bridge back into Norman there's all the Interurban/Charleston's/Chilis/BJs/Red Robin/etc. right there.

Yeah the seafood buffet is great if you like seafood. Any other night it's not really worth the price unless you're just a HUGE eater. I've heard folks staying at Sooner Legends the weekend of the spring game have met a ton of former players who were also staying there. I've never tried it, but that might be fun. If you stay in Bricktown, you can catch the OU/OSU baseball game at the ballpark. If your woman wins and you HAVE TO stay at Riverwind, bet max or you'll never win. Their machines are tighter than... well, lets just say they're tight... :D have fun!

there's a Taco Bueno, a Burger King, a chinese place, a pizza place...there's a grill called Autographs, and they have the buffet which is pretty good. crab legs on Friday nights.
