Love The Stooges. But, with today's youth, do they even know what a "Stooge" is?

Hollywood has ideas, the people that greenlight movies (which are beholden to shareholders of huge multinational corps) are scared ****less of anything without a proven track record.

And the Farrelly Brothers did the two stooges pretty well.

I think Charlie Sheen would be a great Groucho Marx.

So is this movie a biography of the Three Stooges? That wouldn't be so bad. (Although hardly creative.)

As long as I get to see Hobo with a shotgun when it comes out, I can deal with this.

NSFW for over the top bloody sequences..

i thot a biography had already been done, a few years ago.

they did a lot of work for peanuts.

would love to have lived in LA, back in the 30s & 40s. not crowded like now.
actually vacant spaces between the towns. would've been nice.

He pretty much had it right...

If they are going to recycle movie ideas the least Hollywood can do is recycle the good ones so that they at least have a shot at doing something right.

Any ideas for good movies you would like to see recycled?

Who cares if they won an oscar? They did what they intended to do, make people laugh. It has been over 50 years since their last film and they're still popular and still on TV. Their legacy speaks for itself. To judge popularity and influence on pop culture by an Oscar is asinine.

As for why they're sacred, if you have to ask...

What if Hollywood wanted to remake these films?

Citizen Kane? Was the first in many new filmmaking techniques not to mention the social commentary.
Casablanca? Was the apex of the Hollywood model and filmmaking. Not to mention all the political undertones regarding World War II.

Switching away from movies you can look at music.

Woodstock? The political and social revolution with a new form of music and converging into one concert can't be matched.

Anybody really remember Woodstock '94 or '99? Exactly.

Are those sacred? Yes. Why? They made a mark in history. If you say the Stooges didn't make a mark in history, well that's your problem.

If you have about 15 minutes to kill, you could do much worse.

Good movies don't ever need to be recycled, IMO.

I'd love to see someone who loves and respects the original Star Wars trilogy take another crack at the prequels.

True Grit was good both times, wasn't it? Or was it bad the first time and good the second?

They're remaking Footloose.

I don't think there's anyone left to cut loose...footloose...anymore.

They're also remaking The Thing. Which will be the second remake.
