It's not just Bob. Watch a financial news show, every guest uses "at the end of the day" to sum up his point. It's a very over used phrase that probably sounded good 10 years ago when it became common.

My Aggie dad is fond of criticizing Bob's overuse of "you know". But I think no one annoyed him more than Pat Jones who speaks in stream of consciousness hillbilly paragraphs.
