Coincidence or Not?

I was just thinking....toward the end of Forrest Gump where Forrest is getting ready to get married to jenny, Lieutennant Dan comes walking up in his "magic legs" and Lt. Dan replies something like..."titanium alloy, just like they use on the SPACE SHUTTLE."

Of course...a couple years later or maybe less, Gary Sinise and Tom Hanks star together in Apollo 13. I wonder if that was done because of that or just a coincidence?

Probably coincidental, seeing as how the Space Shuttle and the Apollo rockets were from different eras, and are different craft.

Forrest Gump is a real person. He's got his own restaurant chain.

That Space shuttle stuff and apollo landing on the moon stuff is just some Hollywood BS.

It might be coincidence but it's hard to say....
