A road sweep is probably expecting too much. I'm hopeful, but taking two of three will work perfectly fine. KSU is much better than their conference record shows -- they still have the defending Big 12 Player of the Year on their team, anyway.

That UT pitching is gonna be tough to handle. Hoby Milner is becoming nasty and is giving up next to nothing and is a day 2 or 3 pitcher for them.

I think that Missouri game we didn't get to play is going to kill us. Missouri might win one or two Sunday conference games all season. I hate giving up probable W's.

On the bright side, we're right back in the thick of things. I'm with Tumble, no way we can expect or even hope to sweep. Two of three.

We will catch Texas but waht does A&M's schedule look like? Do they have the top teams still to play?

A&M still has the thick of their schedule to play: Texas, OSU, and Tech. But by winning two of three at our place, and with the lead they've already generated, I *REALLY* hate to say this, but I'm not even worrying about trying to catch them.

Second place, however, is absolutely doable. And with second place with almost certainly come hosting duties for the regionals -- and that's our goal.

Concerned about KSU being a "trap" series....they are absolutely better than their record indicates. UT and Aggie both managed to win those series in very tight ballgames. We will have to do the same....this series is pivotal for OUr club and will go a LONG way in determining our conference success and regional hosting status.

The Mizzou giveaway game is a killer. Screwy stuff always happens in Columbia for our baseball team.

For those that are overly concerned with RPI rankings this time of year, we're up to 19 after this weekend. A&M is the only Big 12 team with a better RPI. (6)

Others of note: Texas 31, TCU 34, Baylor 40, OSU 42, Tech 43, K-State 83

A national seed is still well within reach.

I'm not buying it. KSU is as good as there record shows. This team hasn't beaten anyone this year..10 of their 16 wins against Long island, W Ill and Pacific? heck Long Isl actually beat them twice.

Texass swept them, Baylor took 2of 3, and A&M took the same.

So heck no 2of 3, sweep their asses.

UT swept them in Austin....in 2 extra inning games (10 & 14) by one run each.

Baylor beat them in Waco....with 2 - one run games.

Aggie beat them @ Manhattan to win the series on a 9th inning double.

The cats scored 15 runs on the Aggie staff that held us to 3 runs.

...and 15 of our wins come against william & mary, oakland, ualr, & uapb.

Can we sweep....yep. Is KState better than their record? I think so....but to each his own.
