Good thing it's a parking lot now for the dorms. My dad was a Pike and that's where we parked back in the Smellsofbourbon days when I first started going to OU games.

I am guessing that was before 1976 maybe? I lived across the street from their house in the late 70's, and they were a pretty motley crew at the time. Nice, but motley! :)

COLLEGE FRATERNITY'S MISOGYNISTIC EMAIL

Earlier this month, a member of USC's Kappa Sigma fraternity landed the house in hot water after he sent a wildly misogynistic email to fellow members in which women were described as 'targets'.

The author of the email asks his ''C***smen' to share with him and others 'elaborate renditions' of 'hook-ups' with women, adding: 'From my experience, when a female goes Ksig she typically repeats.'

The offensive email says that women 'aren't actual people like us men', and details a list of 'key terms' which refer to members of the opposite sex and various parts of their human anatomy.

A vivid rating system based on 'pure physical beauty' is also given.

The author, who claims to have slept with over 50 girls, asks recipients of the email to work out their 'filth rating' using their number of sexual partners and the attractiveness of each one.

The email ends with an order not to have sex with 'middle-eastern targets. Exhibit some patriotism and have some pride.'

Motley would have described us circa 73-75.

A Pike story. In the spring of 1973, streaking first appeared on college campuses (I don't remember any streaking in 71 or 72). It was mostly guys doing it and for a daytime streak they would wear stocking masks to conceal their identity. Down on south greek on those nice spring afternoons we would stream out of the houses after dinner to congregate and sometimes be entertained by a streaker. Well, there was this Pike at the time who walked with a limp. So one evening as we were socialising on the front lawn of the Kappa Sig house, running around the corner from the direction of the Pike house came two guys in nothing but sneakers and stocking masks. One of them was running with a noticeable hitch in his getalong and somebody managed to get a picture of them moving up College St. The picture was a good one, such that it appeared in the Oklahoma Daily which had no full frontal taboo at the time to the caption, Another Pike Going Places . . .

Heh! My brother lived there in '78 and '79. I got to meet his frat brothers only one time when he took me to a game.
